Once your procedure is complete you will be able to go home almost immediately and take rest. Eye drops may be administered and medication given to be used for a couple of days. Post Lasik procedure, you may be given eye protection shield to avoid bumping or rubbing your eyes. This can be worn for 24 hours during day and at bedtimes for several days. You also need someone to drive you home. The day after Laser treatment, you may experience minimal discomfort. Scratchy, foreign body sensation is normal for several days. Also, sensitivity to bright light is normal for several days. Start using your eye drops. Your vision should be better. Do not get alarmed if your vision is not perfect. Vision should improve over several days. Most patients are able to resume their routine activities a day or two post operations. Laser patients are excited because it has allowed them to regain the joy in their daily activities like never before.
