Refractive and
Cornea Surgery
The department has acquired the world's
most advanced, safest and fastest LASIK LASER
Allegretto Eye- Q from Wavelight Technology ,
Germany . MEH is the first hospital in the entire
state of Karnataka to invest in such equipment.
Allegretto Eye –Q from Wavelight Technology
can treat refractive errors ranging from -0.5
to 14.0sph and ±0.5D to ±6.0 D
cylindrical for Astigmatism. It has got the latest
wavefront technology for customized treatment
to get better predictable results.
The hospital has facilities to treat various corneal diseases such as Corneal
Opacities, Keratoconus, and Infectious Keratitis amongst others. Aside, the department
has facilities for Corneal Graft Surgery. Till date, more then 1000 patients
have been freed from the use of Glasses(Spectacles) and Contact Lenses.
